This Years Holiday Portraits

Last year, I did my part in the Gwinnett Tech Holiday Portraits with building the set, and taking the pictures. This year, I went to get my pictures taken to help the next new photographers get some money for their portfolio show next year. The set was really cute and I loved all the colors and presents. Great job guys! Me and The Boyfriend (Casey) loved them.

Bill and Hilary

Congrats to Bill and Hilary (not Clinton). I got the honor in being Bill and Hilary Saladrigas wedding photographer on October 3rd, 2009. The two where married in Buford at The Holiday Marina. Bill and Hillary where welcomed by friends and family on their special day. The day was beautiful with the sunshine, which was great for Georgia these past couple of days due to flooding. God was looking out for them and their wedding to let it be a great outdoor wedding.

The Freeman Wedding

Maybe one out of 100 million women marry a man with the same last name as their maiden name. Virigina Freeman married Sam Freeman in Dauphin Al. in summer 2009. Yes, they looked it up, and no there is no close family relationship, their families come from 2 different states. I am was very honored to be their photographer. It was very nice to do my first "lake/beach" wedding. The couple was great and close friends of mine. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Freeman for letting me share your day.

Jennifer

Durning the time of portfolio I had many models helping me out with getting my portfolio to the best it could be. With themes, ideas, girls, and time it all came together. Some on the lovely people that modeled for me did not make it in this time but there is always room for improvement. This is Jennifer. Got some really great things with her and was very pleased with the out come.  Thank you Jennifer for helping me out and helping me become a better photographer.

Bonnie and Clyde

The new Bonnie and Clyde. Photo shoot with my 2 little cousins: Ayden and Alyssa to help their big cousin out with portfolio. They did a great job and very happy they made it into it. Watch out for these two. Cute Faces help get them out of trouble.

Tarot Card

For Mr. Jones class, we had to do an assignment that showed all the skills we had learned through out the year. We could choose between a tarot card or movie poster. I did Queen Of Wands tarot card. The Queen of Wands represents the aspects of fire that are most important to us. She is warmth, sensitivity, gentleness and faithfulness as well as strength and determination. The Queen sits upon a throne with arm rests in the appearance of lions, a symbol of fire and strength. In her left hand and behind her are sunflowers, symbolising life, fertility, joy and satisfaction.  The black cat is the dark side of the card. We had to make the car our own. There is shadows, burning/dodging, darken background, change the color of the lion, add details, just a lot of photoshop fun.

Every day when school got out
I'd get off the bus and I'd run down
That old dirt road where you were waiting for me
On the front porch in that blue swing
You'd be smiling and we would sing
'Amazing Grace' and 'Jesus Loves Me'

You were like my mother
You were my best friend
You were everything I want to be
And all the good inside of me
There's never been
Never been another
That loved me like you did
My grandmother, my angel

Even though I can't touch your face
I feel you with me every day
I wish you could see all my dreams coming true
When I get lost I close my eyes
And I feel you shining down so bright
I feel you shining down on me

You were like my mother
You were my best friend
You were everything I want to be
And all the good inside of me
There's never been
Never been another
That loved me like you did
My grandmother, my angel

You were like my mother
You were my best friend
You were everything I want to be
And all the good inside of me
There's never been
Never been another
That loved me like you did
My grandmother, my angel
My angel

22 DAYS!!

There is only 22 days till the portfolio grading. How am I doing?? STRESSED! I'm in that mode where I'm thinking about chancing careers but then remember how much money I've already spent. But also how much I really do like taking pictures. I can do this. Knowing me, I will cry, but it will be worth it in the end...if i pass...if not...more tears. Wish Me Luck!

Left Behind

I wanted to do something with railroads to be in my portfolio. I also wanted my friend Jessica to be in it too cause she is a beautiful girl. I had idea of a beautiful on a railroad tracks, either being left behind, running away from home. Jessica did a great job and very happy that she made it in to my portfolio.

Tomboy Hannah

My sister Hannah is 100 % tomboy. She loves football but sometimes like to be girly with her hair. She wants to play football, but also wants to do cheerleading. She really wanted to be in my portfolio for school. We had some really cute ones and this is the one that made it.

Fashion Shoot

Working this week with Joseph Cartright in NYC! I have been non-stop for the best 3 days. Today we shot a fashion modern fairy tale of Rapunzel. The model's name is Jae and she is from Germany, which is fun cause Rapunzel is a German fairy tale later told my the Girmm Brothers. It was lots of fun and we ended up using 9 lights. Crazy how fashion works.

Sexy

Durning the break I did a photo shot with Britain. She wanted to do something risky. This was not like me. I usually do nice and cute photography but it is always nice to step out of your comfort zone.

This weekend I got to shoot with a great photographer named Chris. We had lots of fun and I learned a lot about wedding photography. Callie, the bride, was great to work with and tons of fun. We had a great time. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Murry!

Shelby

I know I haven't been posting a lot on my blog. There has been tons of stuff going on. Yet, I went out and just took some pictures of my cousin Shelby. It's not the best but it is something new to put on my blog. There will be tons of stuff coming soon from NYC, along with school starting back up.

Megan

Today I did a photo shoot with Megan. We wanted to do something fun and different. We got together and came up with the idea about sexy clowns and something to do with balloons. Here is one of my favorite shots! Thanks Meg for helping out the older cousin in time of need.

Melissa and Rob For Mr. Jones

This was another picture that I did for Mr. Jones' final class. I shot a wedding a week before Mr. Jones' final and came up with this idea when I shot this picture. Jesus hands giving them away. Yet, Mr. Jones didn't like the hands, its ok. I'll live. I added the hands, changed the color of her flower, add flowers to Rod's hands, added more contrast to the sky, lighten the couple and thats how the bottom picture came out. Me and Photoshop are getting used to each other.

Final for Mr. Jones

I have learned that photoshop and I are not the best of friends. But thanks to Mr. Jones, I have learned a lot about photoshop. Here is my final for his class. My boss Patrick at Aeropostale is my model to give the feeling at Aero. Happy when things go right, annoyed by customers with stupid questions, and like the Hulk when employees do something wrong. Gotta love Aero!

Roller Stone Cow

Compositions with Mr. Jones, once again. I took the picture of Stone Mountain, a cow in my yard, and the Batman ride from Six Flags. Added the sky and brighten up it up along with the clouds. Made the water a darker bluer and lighten up the roller coaster. Not your everyday scene, but its a fun picture.

Make-up

This weekend I did a photo shoot with my friend Michelle and her friends' daughters. We pit crazy make-up on them and then took there pictures. My model's name was Brittany and we even went to the next level and put a wig on her to match her make-up.

Tink Helped Print With Light

In Architectural we had to print with light. This is where you go into a room and flash your light (print) with it to show a picture. I did Katie's little sisters room who likes Tinker Bell from Disney's "Pete Pan." In this picture the room isn't straight, but it came out straight in my film which is what I wanted. I had fun doing this and like the way it came out.

Sarah

Before
After
Back with Mr. Jones class, retouch peoples faces. I did my friend Sarah. Using all the tools that he has shown us.

Madison

On May 11th, our photography group is going to take a field trip to Madison, Ga. One of the only city's that wasn't burned down during the civil war. We had a choose different houses to shoot through looking through a magazine that Mrs. Harkins has. I chose Heritage Hall. The picture above is the building, but not the one I shoot. Mine will be better! (I hope).

For my internship I am going to New York City to intern with a fashion photographer named Joseph Cartwright. I am really excited to work with a real fashion expert. I am still unsure of the dates, but it will be sometime in late May, early June. Small town girl going up to the big city!!

After

Before
We learned to today to take a photograph that is old, rushy, and messed up to make new and looked improved. With using the tools in photoshop like clone stamp, healing mask, and patch tool.  Here is a photograph (not taken by me) to see what I did with what I learned today.

Photoshop II Class

I'm back with Mr. Jones class for photoshop II. Since I am not the best at photoshop and haven't taken photoshop 1 with him, this will be a very interesting class. Hopefully Mr. Jones won't get too mad at me for asking a billions question. I will keep you updated on the stress and hardship with the battle between me and photoshop.

Special Needs Cheerleading

At the cheer competition I thought it was great that the team "Force All Stars" from Snellville had a special needs squad. Those girls and one boy went out and gave it their all. It was a great to see that even those in special needs are able to fill like they can fit in, no matter what the sport is.

One Man Band

Down in St. Augustine, walking through the city Michelle, Katie, and I came across a one man band. He was just singing and dancing playing his music. People would stop and put a couple of change in his basket while others stop and stared. The only song he sang while we were there was "Take me out to the ball game."

The many faces of cheer

During cheer competitions you are able to get some crazy and funny shots of girls facial expressions. I think I should change from being a fashion photography to becoming a cheer face photography. Just kidding. Click Here for more amazing funny faces.

Cheer Competition

I was in Athens shooting cheerleading with my friends who own the photography business called Professional Perspective Photography. I was working the table, shooting, and having a great time.

MIchelle

While we were in St. Augustine, Michelle had a great time shooting me with birds flying around me and attacking me. So, since we got to shoot me, I wanted to take some portraits of her. So we did a lot of shoots, but I think this one is great because of the lighting.

Location/Lifestyle

Last assignment for advance commercial photography was called location and lifestyle. This is one of the reasons why we went to Florida last weekend. I wanted to do something with the beach. I wanted to keep it simple but still enchanted. I also wanted to give it a moody feeling. So I shot this around 6:45 AM.

Stairs

Here is a staircase in the castle. I am turning this photo in as my re-do for assignment Section A. Hopefully it will get a better grade then my flag picture. Wish Me Luck!

Castle

While in St. Augustine, we found this castle and got to take pictures of it inside and out. The praying hands picture was taken on Sunday morning, but this photo was taken at sunset on Saturday night. I took 3 different exposes to get the beautiful sky in the back but still having the glow from the castle. I am very proud of it. All that needs to be in there is Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty.

Praying Hands

In St. Augustine Michelle, Katie, and I got the chance to shoot in a old time castle. The castle is now used as a church on Sunday Mornings. We were able to go in and get some great shots of this old time building and was able to get some pretty cool shots.

Fashion OZ

For my fashion shot in commercial photography I wanted to do something different and fun. I got an idea from the movie "The Wizard of  OZ". I put my own twist with instead of red slippers under a house, I did pink. It was lots of fun and used items that you might not think would be there.  Hope you like the fun and weird fashion idea.

Hero

My Hero. Maggie "Patsy" Seabolt. My grandmother. Getting her to take a picture is harder then pulling teeth. Yet, I told her I need a photo of older people for school. So if it is for school, she would do it. I got her to take a lot but she doesn't like to smile, but this is one of the better shots. I don't think any of the shots are good enough for my portfolio but the picture of her is better then anything I could ever ask for.

The Lone Cowgirl

The assignment for this weekend was called southern living. I got my friend Channing to model for me but I couldn't show her face. I got the cowgirl hat to cover it, which gave it more of a misty look. Something like the lone cowgirl, instead of the lone ranger.

Pumpkin-Seed Trout

On Wednesday, the photo class went down to do commerical food photography. We all paired up with someone from the culinarty arts program and talked about the food and our ideas for the food. I got pumpkin-seed trout as my food. After changing the idea 3 different times, finally came up with just having the trout on a white triangle plate with lime around it, on wood. This is how my photo came out! Hope you like it!

Gaby

Yesterday, my friend Gaby was my model for my portrait assignment. I found a place that looked like it was burned down and wanted to shoot her there. I got her into an white dress to be the pure beautiful subject around all the mess and burned down chammy's. She such a beautiful girl, and I thank her very much for doing this photoshoot with me.
